I don't think I or Watson said any of the things you're imputing to us here. (This is the "ludicrous caricature" I mentioned in my post.)

Watson talked about a very narrow kind of action in a specific context that made her uncomfortable, and she opined that it's a kind of action that would likely make women in general uncomfortable. And while a fear of rape is (I'd argue) a valid component of that discomfort, what really seems to have bothered her was the fact that the guy in question had completely disregarded the things she'd just been saying about how she prefers to be treated.

But there's nothing in what she said to imply that she was talking about all men all the time, or that being a man was the only thing of concern, so this was the exact opposite of profiling: she didn't judge the elevator guy based on the fact that he was a man, but on the fact that he acted in a particular way in a particular context that he'd already been told would be unwelcome.
